JARDIN DU GOUVERNEUR - Hotel Vieux Quebec

Our room was generally updated and generally modern but could use some TLC. Bathroom (corner) shower was quite small but no issues. Can't beat the location!

We had a charming room with a lovely balcony overlooking a park. The bed was soft and comfortable with fresh linens, and the bathroom was updated and clean. The location was so close to old Quebec and the Funicular. Allison at the front desk was very helpful and resourceful. I would Definitely stay here again

Great experience!!! The rooms were clean and the towels were very new! We stayed in one of the smallest rooms which was quite small. But my parents and friend stayed in a room with 2 beds instead of 1 and theirs was very spacious! It does cost more so keep that in mind. It was a perfect location. The building was old, but kept clean. Just to note, they don’t have an elevator so you’ll have to carry your luggage up stairs. They had ample places to charge devices which is always appreciated. I will stay here again! I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to stay near old Quebec. Another thing to note they don’t have a receptionist at all times.

Very nice little hotel in the heart of Old Quebec City. It is an old building and does not have an elevator and its own parking. Public parking is available nearby (3 min. on foot). A bit pricey, but well worth it considering the location. My main concern were some trucks (not related to the hotel; probably garbage collection) which were very noisy early in the morning. It was hot, we wanted to have fresh air so we slept with the windows open and we were woken by those trucks almost every morning. Rooms were OK considering the age of the building. They had AC and cable TV. Staff were welcoming and helpful. We had a great time!

Perfect location and cozy Parisian apartment like 3 floor walk up. Easy walk to all the attractions and free coffee in lobby. Very good value for location.

One of the best locations but the rooms were small. The toilet provided limited privacy due to sliding doors. Ok for short stays.

If you are looking for the place to sleep after busy day exploring beautiful Quebec this is the hotel for you. This small budget friendly hotel is located in a heart of Old Quebec, next to Chateau Frontenac. Walking distance to major attractions (Terrase Dufferin 2 minutes, funicular 5 minutes, Quartier Petit Champlain 15 minutes, Parliament building 15 minutes, Citadel 20 minutes). Proximity to restaurants La Buche , Aux Anciens Canadiens short walk away (2-5 minutes). Paillard 15 minutes away. Parking garage (24 CAD per day) on opposite site of the street 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Although location is perfect keep in mind that this is budget friendly option so don’t expect too much. Room was clean, beds were comfortable but fresh paint and newer furnitures are needed. Also our cable didn’t work and hair dryer seen better days. Anyway We were there to explore Quebec not to seat in a hotel and watch tv. This was our second visit in Quebec. We visited Quebec in February for winter carnival but because of previous hotel location and harsh Quebec weather We weren’t able to see all We had planned. If you are on a budget and has lower expectations but looking for a hotel with perfect location Hotel Jardin du Gouverneur is for you. I highly recommend it.

I was afraid about the bad reviews about the hotel. Let me tell you, the personal is amazing the room was PERFECT clean and Cozy. The location is Wonderful. Really really Happy Thanks !!!
